Manulife Financial hosted the 22nd annual Charity Slo-Pitch tournament on August 17, 2012 benefiting the Alzheimer Society of Kitchener-Waterloo's programs and services.  Our 9-member committee began work on this tournament in September 2011.  We chose the Alzheimer Society as our charity based on my suggestion as my mother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. 4 Steps to Fundraising Success

  • Decide on your type of fundraising event

    You may already know how you'll be fundraising for the Alzheimer Society. But if you need help, we have thought up a few ideas to help kick-start your event brainstorming.

  • Register your event online, customize your event page and pick your fundraising goal

    Click here and follow the simple instructions to register your event's fundraising page. This page will allow you to set a goal for your event, outline the details and view your event's progress.

  • Invite your team members to join

    Once your event page is set up, invite your team members to join and set up their own pages to fundraise for the event. Each team member can set their own fundraising goal, share their story, and view their progress. This is the activity centre for you and your team's fundraising efforts, so please take advantage of all it has to offer!

  • Share with your friends, family and co-workers

    You and your team can email friends, family and co-workers and ask them to help you reach your fundraising goal. Remember to spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, and even your blog!
